There is a formed door jamb for increased resistance to sledgehammer attack. The 1/2″ solid steel door is a definite theft deterrent in most attacks. There is also a U.L. Group II combination lock (C) that provides security with over a million possible combinations. There are many other features on the AMSEC Model MS1414C Combination Plate Safe which include three 1″ diameter chromed steel locking bolts and a bolt detent system that the engages bolt work automatically when the door is closed. This keeps them retracted when the door is in the open position. There is also an auxiliary spring-loaded relocking device that locks the bolt work when a forcible attack trips the device. Both the lock and relock device are protected by a large carburized hardplate inside the door.
